Baghdad, Iraq — Tigris Riverfront
A museum that doesn't just display history — it makes you feel it.
Located on the banks of the Tigris near Al-Kadhimiya, the Iraqi Identity Museum takes visitors on an immersive journey through civilization, trauma, and hope. Two buildings, connected through a continuous experiential path, symbolize Iraq's apparent divisions and hidden unity.
The journey moves from Mesopotamian roots upward through history, then descends into spaces of war, displacement, and fragmentation — before emerging into light, healing, and the "Corridor of Hope."
Water, natural light, and cuneiform-carved surfaces tie memory to material. Architecture here is not form — it's narrative.
